Avtodom: Mercedes-Benz disconnects Russian deals from software
MOSCOW, Aug 14 (PRIME) -- German automobile maker Mercedes-Benz has disconnected service stations of Russian dealers from its official software, a spokesperson of dealer Avtodom told PRIME on Monday.
“It is true that the dealers are cut off the online systems of the producer’s after-sale servicing. But the accumulated expertise, knowledge, and databases will help us mostly replace the producer’s systems in repair and maintenance of Mercedes-Benz cars,” the spokesperson said.
“In some cases the lack of access to the online systems will extend the period of repair. We hope servicing and repair will be successful in the absolute majority of the cases.”
In late April, Avtodom acquired Mercedes-Benz’s Russian assets, including the plant in the Moscow Region.
